March 2024:
At PORT Lighting, we are committed to making a positive impact in our community, and each month, we shine a light on an organization that is making a real difference. For March, we are thrilled to announce CASA of NH (Court Appointed Special Advocates for Children) as our Illuminating Impact winner. This incredible organization works tirelessly to ensure that children who have experienced abuse or neglect in New Hampshire are given a voice in the judicial system.
Founded in 1989, CASA of NH has become an essential part of the state's child welfare system. Their mission is clear: recruit, train, and support volunteers to serve as advocates for children who need it most. These CASA volunteers provide invaluable information to judges, helping them make decisions that are in the best interests of the child, ensuring that the child’s safety, well-being, and future are prioritized. This service plays a crucial role in the lives of vulnerable children, empowering them with the support and care they need during their most difficult times.
Through its work, CASA has helped nearly 12,000 children in New Hampshire find a path to safety and stability. Each volunteer advocates for a child, ensuring they are heard and that their unique needs are understood in court. The impact CASA has on these children’s lives cannot be overstated – it’s not just about legal advocacy; it’s about providing hope, support, and a brighter future for children in crisis.
At PORT Lighting, we are inspired by CASA’s unwavering dedication to making a difference. As part of our Illuminating Impact initiative, we are proud to support CASA of NH and the vital work they do for children and families in need. Our donation reflects our commitment to organizations that provide real and lasting change in our local communities. We believe in the importance of giving back and ensuring that the light of hope shines on those who need it most.
We invite you to join us in supporting CASA of NH. You can make a difference in the lives of children across New Hampshire by donating to this wonderful organization. Your contribution will help CASA continue to recruit, train, and support volunteers who advocate for the most vulnerable members of our society – children who need a voice to ensure their safety and well-being.
