THE REBIRTH OF LACONIA’S COLONIAL THEATRE
SEPT 2021 - It was a tremendous thrill and honor to play a role in the restoration of Laconia, NH’s historic, beautiful, Colonial Theatre. Though not mentioned by name in WMUR-TV’s New Hampshire Chronicle feature, Port Lighting provided the theater’s control system, dimming, stage curtains, audio, and rigging, and the marquee’s color-changing LED lighting, programming, and integration. The venue first opened in 1914, closed in 2002, and is scheduled to reopen in 2021 once the exhaustive renovations are complete. The City of Laconia, in partnership with Belknap Economic Development Council, led the restoration.
