WALTHAM, MA — You may have noticed a new lighting display at 103 CityPoint in Waltham. That new look on the building is thanks to Billerica's Interstate Electrical Services Corporation.

According to the company, it was selected to help bring the vision of BXP, the company that owns the building, to life at 103 4th Ave.

The project began with the building owner’s desire to create a "dramatic and captivating lighting display on the building’s facade," company officials said.

They noted that the design was challenging, requiring Interstate to collaborate closely with designers, builders and manufacturers to ensure the desired effect.

"This project, stemming from the incredible vision of our client, was a true collaboration between the owner, our team and the architect," said Eric Crouch, assistant project manager at Interstate Electrical Services. "We faced some initial challenges with color consistency, but through open communication and a commitment to excellence, we were able to deliver a stunning result. PORT Lighting was especially pivotal in getting the dynamic controls across the finish line."

The final installation features over 700 feet of color-changing LED lights positioned to transform the building's façade into a "dynamic canvas."

The system allows for an array of pre-programmed shows, allowing the building to celebrate holidays, support local organizations or simply showcase a vibrant display of colors as they choose.
