In 2014, Port Lighting’s Architectural Lighting team had the opportunity to elevate one of Boston’s premier fitness destinations—Sports Club LA—through cutting-edge architectural lighting design and installation. Located in the heart of the city's bustling downtown theater district, this high-end athletic facility wanted a lighting solution that would enhance its modern exterior while aligning with the vibrant energy of its neighborhood.
To achieve this, our team provided both architectural lighting design and installation services for the building’s exterior. We installed 130 Philips Color Kinetics ColorFuse LED fixtures—a compact, linear grazing fixture known for its high-performance color-changing capabilities. These fixtures were strategically mounted under each window of the yoga studio and gym, casting a striking and sophisticated wash of color across the facade.
